Action Required: New Consultation For Queens Park

February 4th, 2020

Our friends from Brighton & Hove City Council have been in touch about the Queens Park Conservation Area.

The council is running a public consultation to see how local residents feel about Article 4, which means you would need a planning application for anything that effects the character of the conservation area, fighting ‘cumulative loss’ of features that have a detrimental effect on the character of our neighbourhood.

Small but significant issues that may effect the character of Queens Park include “the changing of traditional sash windows to uPVC, installing inappropriate timber windows, modern doors, railings and gates, the loss of front boundary walls and the painting of previously unpainted brick features.”

The council have asked us to spread the word and get as many local residents as possible to click on the link below and complete the brief online consultation.
